The monastery village of Maria Rickenbach (Niederrickenbach) can only be reached by cable car from Dallenwil. From there you can continue with an airy ride with the cable car to the Musenalp. On the sunny terrace of the Musenalp Alpbeizli you can enjoy drinks and simple dishes such as the famous "Bratkäseschnitte". We then hike over alpine pastures to Unter Musenalp, from where you could get to Bärenfallen and Klewenalp. But we go to the right and descend on the mountain path between the rocks to "Marchboden" and "Alp Ahorn". On the small road we return to the monastery village. At the Pilgerhaus we take a seat in the cozy restaurant and drink a monastery tea. The time and height details consider the use of the cable cars (absolute walking time)
A2 from Lucerne direction Gotthard until exit Stans-Süd. 3.5 kilometers in the direction of Engelberg, after Dallenwil turn left at the signpost to the valley station of the cable car Dallenwil-Niederrickenbach.
