You start in the city of Lucerne. Take the bus to Kriens, where an idyllic hike through the Chrienser Hohwald forest awaits you. From Fräkmünt the paths become rougher. You circle the Klimsenhorn and hike up countless hairpins to Lucerne's local mountain, the Pilatus. The world's steepest cogwheel railway takes you back down to the valley and Alpnachstad. Finally, you walk to Stans village.
