Alpwirtschaft Unterlauelen – at the foot of the Pilatus

Alp Unterlauelen lies in the idyllic village of Eigenthal on the lower reaches of the Canton Nidwalden side of the Pilatus.

Fancy relaxing, enjoying nature and the mountains and treating yourself to some authentic hospitality? Alp Unterlauelen occupies an inviting spot at the end of the village of Eigenthal and is an ideal springboard and stopping-off place for hikes on and around the Pilatus.

Meals in the dining room, hunting parlour or on the garden terrace consist of old and traditional tasty country dishes. The meat products are predominantly sourced from within Eigenthal.

The Alp is farmed all year round and is home to cows, goats, yaks, donkeys and cats. Overnight accommodation is available in hay or in two wooden huts. There’s a hot tub for soothing open-air baths at the end of the day.
