There’s been a bakery at Dorfplatz 12 in Stansstad since 1928. Even then, customers could consume the products on the premises. That’s still the case now. The cosy “zum Beck” is a restaurant that serves its own products. Catering for all tastes and occasions, it offers a wide selection of fine fare.
You’ll find the historic Glasi-Restaurant Adler near the Hergiswil glassworks. Croissants and bread, coffee and a glass of orange juice are a traditional part of a Swiss breakfast. The Adler also serves a crispy baked butter-rösti with bacon and fried egg. Daily until 11 a.m., Sundays and public holidays until noon.
The panorama aerial cableway takes you from Kriens up to Fräkmüntegg and the restaurant of the same name, where a hearty brunch buffet awaits in the most delightful mountain scenery. Afterwards, why not digest your meal with an extended walk in the fresh mountain air to round off your leisurely Sunday programme? Every Sunday till 2 p.m., November to April. Reservation required.
From Emmetten, take the cable car directly up to the Berggasthaus Niederbauen and its breathtaking views of Lake Lucerne. A wide range of local specialities awaits at the Sunday brunch buffet, including bread and a host of tasty delicacies, a variety of egg dishes, traditional müesli and little desserts. A delight featuring cold and hot dishes. The Hotel Restaurant Seerausch in Beckenried is right by Lake Lucerne and serves a brunch buffet that’s perfect for a leisurely start to your Sunday. The Dallenwil-Wirzweli aerial cableway takes you up the Wirzweli “witch mountain” above Dallenwil. Alpenrestaurant Wirzweli – from local alp cheese to plaited “zopf” bread. Currently unavailable due to Covis-19 restrictions. Brunch dates in 2021 will be announced in the spring.
