The new timber-built adventure playground catches your eye the moment you arrive at Klewenalp at alt. 1600 metres. Climbing, hanging, hovering, wriggling, wobbling and swinging are the order of the day at the Klewenalp upper terminus. Exciting amenities such as a slackline, loops, climbing and net elements guarantee loads of fun. The playground is of primary appeal to younger children, but there's also a lot for the grown-ups to learn about timber and the Klewenalp forest.

This unique playground by the harbour is great for families when the weather's warm. It benefits from a water play area on a large gravel surface, as well as wide-ranging views of the mountains. It also has a boccia court and a slackline.

The inviting playground near the station was built in 2016 by countless volunteers. It offers a range of amenities for all ages. The children will love the little play houses, sandpit and slackline, while the volleyball court has an adjustable net, which makes it ideal for children as well as grown-ups.

This new playground is located right by the Choltalbach stream and is of particular interest to the younger visitor. It has various swings as well as a bench that encircles a tree. Who'll be the first to negotiate the climbing trail without touching the ground? After that, it's time for the merry-go-round!

Trübsee is a mountain lake on the upper Trübsee Alp. A few years ago, Engelbert the Smuggler and Schmuggli the Mule used to follow the path between Engelberg and Engstlenalp over the Joch Pass. Follow the adventure trail around Lake Trüb and discover hidden treasures. The Schmuggli playground offers play equipment such as a Smuggler's Tower, treasure chests, tunnel mazes and a net swing.

This playground was completed in 2018 and has a large adventure ship complete with steering wheel and pirate flag to match its location right by the lake. There's a climbing amenity on the port side and a slide on the starboard side. Also on hand are a nest swing, an animal swing and a balancing trail, not forgetting a bench with table and splendid views – perfect for a family picnic.

"Rainbow Land" is located in the Aawasser recreation area, complete with colourful animals: the wooden toys were painted by local kindergarten children. This compact playground is ideal for a short break during a walk. The crocodile, tortoise, snail and bird look forward to seeing their little playmates.

Families can reach this lovingly designed and very attractive, large playground at over 1200 metres above sea level by cable car or on foot. Already during the cable car ride, local animal species and bewitched figures can be discovered as a prelude to the witches' path and the witches' playground. Adventure trails, a toboggan run and much more await you at the mountain station.

This large primary school playground is located on the lake side of the school building and offers entertainment for children of all ages. It offers one attraction after another. Who's the better ping-pong player? Who's the best goal scorer on the grass pitch? Children can use the zipline to get from the hard sports area to the trampoline or watch the comings and goings from the sandpit.

This special playground is located behind the church next to the public herb garden of Wolfenschiessen Convent. The playground integrates all four natural elements fire, air, earth and water. It has a barbecue facility as well as a table and bench, while there are all sorts of play things for the children, including a zipline and hanging net, as well as an underground tunnel.
