An autumn hike to Alpwirtschaft Unterlauelen in Eigenthal is worth it! The Alpwirtschaft welcomes you from September to November with fine game specialities from its own local hunt. Only the whole animal is used and, depending on the hunter's luck, not everything is always available.
In the Hotel-Restaurant Rössli in Beckenried, directly by Lake Lucerne, you will find seasonal, market-fresh and creatively prepared dishes. In the autumn season from 11 September 2020 to the beginning of November, various game specialities are on the menu. Close to the hunt at Mountainrestaurant Alpstubli on Klewenalp you can find delicious game dishes as well.
Just in time for the last day of the high hunt in Nidwalden (Tuesday, September 22nd 2020) the game time starts. In the kitchen the long-time "Adler" chef Aldo Schmid is holding the position. He trumps with classics such as venison saddle in two courses, the hunter's pan and venison escalope. He does not neglect in any way the lovers of game and sweets such as the Coupe “Nesselrode” or a Chestnut-Tiramisu. Game specialities in the “Adler” are guaranteed this autumn and with a little "huntsman's luck" even a local chamois stew.
In September and October, the Brasserie le Mirage, which has been awarded 13 Gault Millau points, serves autumnal culinary dishes such as venison ragout from the Bürgenberg in Burgundy style, venison entrecôte, corn-fed poulard breast on champagne cabbage, a vegetarian autumn plate with everything autumn has to offer... and much more. Let the lovingly prepared dishes surprise you.
