Waterfall
The imposing, little-known gorge in Beckenried, with a waterfall that makes you think of Australia.
The polished rock and snail shell-shaped swirl holes show how the water has carved its way deep into the rock. If you stand on one of the two iron bridges at the top, you can hear the raging water deep below.
There is a paid parking lot in RĂ¼tenen. Then continue on foot. There are picnic spots along the way and the RĂ¼tenen bathing area, which is a popular recreational destination, especially in summer.
There is also a small green area for picnicking or swimming at Risleten. There is a fireplace with wood. There is a small harbor for mooring small boats.

Hiking suggestion Beckenried - Treib
Hiking suggestion Beckenried - Treib A hike through the Risleten Gorge is an exciting experience. From Beckenried to Treib, you hike from the Risleten Gorge through lots of forest and under rocky ledges, catching unexpectedly beautiful views of the lake and the surrounding mountains time and again. Immediately after you have passed the gorge, the trail requires some fitness, as it climbs around 300 meters in a short distance - after that, however, the hike is very pleasant with gentle uphill and downhill sections.
The hike is also recommended when the weather is not too good. It is particularly interesting if it has rained the day before, as a lot of water then rushes down through the gorge.
The return journey from Treib to Beckenried is a relaxed boat trip. You can buy the boat ticket in advance at the Beckenried boat station, in Treib or directly on the boat.

Guided tours
The Beckenried tourist office can arrange cultural guided tours of the Risleten Gorge with excellent nature and history information on the factories of the time, such as the lime or match factory, the gorge, the dinosaur tracks and other interesting information.

You can obtain the contact addresses of the cultural guides at the Tourist Information Beckenried.

Climbing and dinosaurs
Climbing is also possible on the large Risleten rocks. The almost 120-metre-high limestone slab directly on the shore of Lake Lucerne is located around 3 kilometers from the Beckenried boat station. Eight routes from the fourth to the eighth level of difficulty are fully equipped.

If you search the rocks with your eyes, you may even discover the ancient dinosaur tracks, which are over 120 million years old. The tracks belong to the Iguanadon dinosaur, which once lived in Beckenried. The dinosaur reached a body length of 4-6 meters and weighed up to 2'000kg.
