The holiday resort of Beckenried is idyllically located between deep blue Lake Lucerne and the foot of the Klewenalp.

The charming village

Lakeside hotel terraces in Beckenried offer opportunities to relax and enjoy a good meal or see the day out after an active excursion in the region. A leisurely paddle steamer trip is great for getting to know the region from a different perspective. In summer you can refresh yourself in Lake Lucerne or play a round of minigolf. Somewhat tucked away is the Risleten gorge with its waterfalls, whirlpools and striking rock formations.

Klewenalp – popular for excursions

The aerial cableway from Beckenried takes a few minutes to deliver visitors to the Klewenalp. The trip offers a chance to enjoy wonderful views of Lake Lucerne and the mountains of Central Switzerland. The Klewenalp in summer is popular with hikers, climbers, mountain bikers and paragliders. From Klewenalp you can take a baby stroller-friendly path to the Stockhütte in Emmetten.

In winter, the Klewenalp-Stockhütte area offers a total of 40 km of well-groomed slopes for skiing and snowboarding. This is also a great place for sledging, snowshoeing and Nordic walking.
Directions

Beckenried is easy to get to, with two motorway exits and boat and bus links. It's a 25-minute drive from Lucerne.
