The imposing manor house is situated in the quiet Engelberg valley. Built in the 17th century, it remains to this day the property of the Benedictine monastery of Engelberg. It once served as a low-altitude residence, a place where monks could take a break, and a monastic administration building. The manor house today is a modern event venue.
Now run by the Lebensraum Gebirge foundation, the facility is a venue for seminars, conferences, concerts and exhibitions. Guided tours of the manor house with drinks/coffee can be booked in advance.
