At the Bürgenstock Resort, walk along the rock path. After about 45 minutes (1.7 km) you reach the valley station of the Hammetschwand lift.
The Felsenweg was built between 1900 and 1905 and leads high above Lake Lucerne from Bürgenstock Resort to the Känzeli view point. It is accessible during the summer months from about May to October. The dates of opening in spring and closing in autumn are communicated on felsenweg.ch.

The Hammetschwand Lift is also a special building. In one minute, the highest outdoor lift in Europe (152.8 m) leads from the Felsenweg to the Hammetschwand. At the top you can expect a fantastic view, a mountain restaurant and a picnic area. The lift is in operation from 9.30 a.m. - 6 p.m. during the summer months. In winter and in bad weather with rainy, windy or icy conditions, the Hammetschwand lift is closed.
