Day 1: From Engelberg to the valley of the cable cars
The route starts at Engelberg railroad station. The trail leads via Zingel and Lutersee to Eggendössli. Here the Buiräbähnli Rugisbalm takes you to Grafenort, where you hike along the Engelberger Aa to the next train, the Bielenbahn. After the ride to Alp Bielen, the route continues via Schwand to Diegisbalm - if you wish, you can take a detour to Oberalp. The next train takes you down the valley to Wolfenschiessen, where you will spend the night in the lovingly designed Hotel Alpina Einhorn.
Day 2: From Wolfenschiessen to Bannalp
Strengthened by breakfast, you make your way through the village to the Brändlen cable car. After the ride, there is a short ascent to Schmiedsboden before the next Buiräbähnli takes hikers down to Oberrickenbach. From there, it's a short walk to the Fell valley station, where two cable cars take you comfortably to Alp Sinsgäu. Once at the top, you continue on foot towards Bannalp and finally along the idyllic Walenpfad trail to Alp Oberfeld - the end of the stage.
Day 3: Finish with a panorama
The trail continues along the Walenpfad to the SAC Brunnihütte. From here, it descends to Ristis and continues to the Bordbahn, the last cable car of the tour. Alternatively, you can take the chairlift from the hut (not included in the cable car pass). Return to Engelberg on foot or with the free summer bus.
